Climate communication in the community: Two successful workshops as part of OwnYourSECAP

The events built on the first workshop in 2023, in which sustainability researcher Thomas Brudermann provided fundamental insights into climate communication.

This year's workshops were organized by PlanSinn and were aimed at OwnYourSECAP's partner municipalities as well as interested external municipalities.

• Workshop 1 (28.7.): „Climate communication in your community: Why, what, and how?“
  Contents: Where do we stand? | Why climate communication? | Ideas for goals and approaches | Framing as a helpful tool
• Workshop 2 (31.7.): „Climate communication in your community: Strategic planning for climate communication“
  Contents: Personal climate network | Channels and target groups | Occasions for climate communication | Proposal for a communication strategy

Both workshops offered stimulating discussions and practical ideas on how climate communication can be effectively designed within and outside municipal administration and in municipal politics.
