Christof Amann, managing director and associate

After his graduation in “Landscape Planning and Environmental Studies” at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, Christof Amann worked as a researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Social Ecology at the University of Klagenfurt. There he was concerned with the development of social-ecological methods, material flow accounting and sustainable development in the building sector. His interest in energy efficiency guided him to the Austrian Energy Agency. There he worked as an expert in the department of Buildings and Space Heating. He was involved in national and international projects and from July 2007 he was in charge of “wohnmodern”, the Austrian Climate Protection Program for large residential buildings.

Christof Amann mainly focuses on energy efficiency of buildings, the development of the Austrian space heating market, the implementation of the EU Energy Service Directive and issues concerning energy and climate policy.

In his leisure time he enjoys katamaran-sailing and playing classical guitar.
