Projektbeschreibung

Textil-RE-acts is a nine-month FFG exploratory project within the framework of the Leuchttürme der Wärmewende (Beacons of the Heat Transition) program, which deals with the sustainable revitalization of the former textile factory in Hirschbach. The aim of the project is to develop well-founded, implementable concepts for the climate- and resource conscious renovation and future communal use of the historic building stock. In line with the principles of the New European Bauhaus, ecological, social, and architectural aspects are brought together to rethink rural vacancies as places for communal living, working, and cultural use, and to develop transferable solutions for similar locations.

In the exploratory project Textil-RE-acts, e7 is leading the consortium and is responsible for key content and organizational tasks. As project manager, e7 coordinates the interdisciplinary consortium, manages the project process, and ensures quality assurance across all work packages.

One focus is on co-developing an integrated renovation and utilization concept based on the principles of the New European Bauhaus. e7 contributes comprehensive expertise in thermal and energy-efficient renovation, climate-neutral energy concepts, and opportunities for renewable energy. Building on experience gained from numerous renovation projects at the building and neighborhood level, suitable technologies for energy supply, usage-oriented distribution and delivery systems, and possible local heating solutions are analyzed and brought together. The goal is a customized, sustainable energy concept for the historic textile factory building.

In addition, e7 is responsible for the dissemination and knowledge transfer of the project. This includes the transparent presentation of project progress and results, the organization of public workshops and specialist presentations, and the systematic documentation of the participatory process. Particular attention is paid to the evaluation of organizational, financing, and participation models in order to derive transferable best practice examples for the activation of rural vacant properties.

With its extensive experience in working with building group, e7 actively supports the design and facilitation of participatory processes. Technical content—such as energy supply, storage, or efficiency measures—is presented in an understandable way to provide all participants with a sound basis for decision-making regarding the future development of the project.
