Margot Grim-Schlink has been involved in the topic of energy for many years through her parents' business (wholesale and production of thermal solar and biomass heating systems). An individual diploma study under the title "Environmental consulting with emphasis renewable energy technology and energy efficiency in buildings" at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna - with numerous lectures at the Technical University Vienna and at the Danish Technical University in Lyngby deepened their knowledge. As a research assistant at the Austrian Energy Agency from 2001 to 2007, she established an Austrian consultant network for energy efficiency consulting.
Margot Grim-Schlink is a founding member of e7 energy innovation & engineering and heads the department "Planning and Consulting of Buildings and Quarters". Furthermore, she is involved in various working groups of IG Lebenszyklus, Facility Management Austria, ÖGNI, etc..
In 2009, Margot Grim-Schlink was awarded the ÖGUT Environmental Prize in the category "Women in Environmental Technology".
Margot Grim-Schlink finds balance in sports in nature, gardening and canoeing.
