Laura Behrends

Laura Behrends completed her bachelor's degree in economics with socioeconomics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2025. In her bachelor's thesis, she focused on climate policy measures and their distributional effects, with a particular focus on lower income groups. Since the summer semester of 2026, she has been studying for an interdisciplinary master's degree in Environmental and Bio-Resource Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.
Laura Behrends has been working as a project support staff member at e7 since February 2026. In this role, she provides support for consulting projects and national and international research projects in the field of energy and heat transition. A particular focus of her work is the development of legally compliant business and financing models for various capital-intensive decarbonisation investments.
In her free time, she enjoys sports, especially running, cycling and swimming, is active in a book club and explores Vienna's cultural and event scene.
