After his diploma studies "Landscape Planning and Landscape Management" at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna, Christof Amann worked for several years as a research assistant and lecturer at the Institute for Social Ecology at the University of Klagenfurt. There he dealt with the development of social-ecological methods, material flow analyses and the relationship between construction and sustainable development. His interest in energy efficiency and construction led him to the Austrian Energy Agency for three years, where he worked as a research assistant in national and international projects in the field of buildings and space heating. His last position was head of the climate-active program wohnmodern.
Christof Amann focuses on energy efficiency in buildings, the development of the space heating market in Austria, the implementation of the EU Energy Efficiency Directive and energy and climate policy issues.
